The first ever "Festival Of Belonging" kicks off with the first of FOUR weekends on Aug 23-24 featuring the premiere of composer JG Everest's new "Wild River Sound Garden" spatial symphony and live storytelling, crafting and music performances by Rosetta Peters, Annie Humphrey, Shanai Matteson and more. Plus a "Celebrating Your Wild Voice" workshop with Barbara McAfee, a Poetry Walk along the river, and nature walks around the park. FREE with a MN State Parks vehicle permit. Fun for all ages.
The culminating project of composer JG Everest's MNPAiR Artist Residency at Wild River, the Festival of Belonging takes place over four weekends, each featuring different lineups of site-specific performance installations of dance, poetry, storytelling, music, and visual art, at different sites around the park.
