Date with a Tree

This program combines natural history education with mindful observation to deepen our knowledge and relationships to trees.
Our Field Naturalist will give a brief introduction to the anatomy and ecological functions of trees. Participants will spend time, (solo or in pairs), observing a tree and the species that interact with it. We’ll then come together to discuss our observations. We’ll also practice tree identification, and field guides will be available after the program for identifying bird and insect species. Binoculars, hand lenses, paper and pens will be provided.
Free event, registration is required.
