Build Your Theatre Acting Skills Class
8 Day Class (10 hours)
4th Grade and up
Wednesdays 1:00-2:15pm
Class dates: 9-10, 9-17, 9-24, 10-1, 10-8, 10-22, 10-29, 11-5 (Class will NOT meet 10/15)
Class cost: $150 - includes all supply fees

Note: This is a 8 DAY (10 hours) class - will meet for 1 1/4 hours on the dates provided above. This class is limited to 13 students to maximize student participation. If maximum is reached, another session will be opened from 2:30-4:00.
Course Description:
Your homeschooler will learn about improv, creating a character, using movement and gestures effectively, projection, and more! Class is taught by a theatre director homeschool graduate who has extensive experience working with beginner and experienced performers. There will be a short performance at the end of classes to display what has been worked on throughout the semester! Once class fills, please contact Heppner's Legacy to get on a waitlist or to inquire about upcoming classes.
Instructor Bio:
Over the past three years, Emily Bergren has directed six shows (eleven casts) with Shooting Starz Productions. In addition to directing, she has worn many hats in the theatre world, including running the tech booth, assisting backstage, and prop assembly. Her performing credits span across multiple companies including North Star Arts and Bunce Performing Arts. Emily was homeschooled K-12th grade and recently graduated with her B.A. in History. Her teaching experience has included a range of ages spanning from preschoolers at WINGS Homeschool Co-op to casts that included adults. She enjoys the art of teaching and brings an energetic style to learning!
