Join us Sunday, August 10th, from 1-3 pm at our Galveston Bay Foundation headquarters (1725 Highway 146, Kemah, TX 77565) for a Rain Barrel Workshop!
This workshop will consist of a supply pickup, hands-on presentation, and Q&A session with Galveston Bay Foundation staff on site. The presentation at 1:30 pm will discuss water conservation tools like Water My Yard, the environmental benefits of reducing freshwater usage and collecting rainwater, as well as proper rain barrel preparation, installation instructions and tips.
Participants who purchase a rain barrel and kit can pick up their supplies between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm and opt to stay for the hands-on installation presentation at 1:30 pm, or utilize a video link for instructions at a later date.
Pre-registration is required to reserve a barrel but the event itself is free and open to all, so please bring family and friends.
