Celebrate 201 years of Banff’s unique friendship with Argentina at Banff Castle. Enjoy an afternoon of brass bands, pipers, a walking tour, face painting, games, Argentine ice creams, South American empanadas and more.
A short memorial will mark the death of General San Martín in 1850, and an exhibition will explore the rich history and new research on Banff’s Argentine links. At 4pm, enjoy an illustrated talk by an acclaimed author on the final years of the “Hero” who visited Banff in 1824.
