Led by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in partnership with American Rivers and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the feasibility study is evaluating the future of the aging Daniels Dam, an effort that includes exploring repair and removal options while considering community input and ecological priorities.
As we paddle, you’ll learn about the broader Patapsco River Restoration Project, which has already removed three outdated dams, resulting in healthier ecosystems, improved safety, and economic benefits for nearby communities.
