National Tree Day 2025

Our next working bee is our biggest one for the year on National Tree Day so please update your diary for a 10.00am start, Sunday 27th July 2025 at Freeburgh..

This event is to plant over 500 native trees and bushes along a one kilometer section of the Ovens River that has been inaccessible for many years because of thick blackberries and woody weeds,
These have now been cleared and the ground mulched ready for our planting thanks to our partners at North East CMA and Parks Victoria.

Meet at the Old Harrietville Bridge near the GAR and NEW water storage and offtake pipe. Lunch will be provided.

As this is a family event children are very welcome and we ask that you observe the Parks Victoria 'Working with Children' protocols: https://www.parkconnect.vic.gov.au/Volunteer/childsafety/

Wear suitable clothes, a hat, gloves and sturdy footwear. Bring your favourite planting tools although we will provide them.

For more details about our tree planting plans call Martyn on 0437 501 441.
