2025 Farewell Summer 5K

The YMCA of South Boston/Halifax County is pleased to host the 2025 Farewell Summer 5K, Saturday, September 13, with presenting sponsor J.E. Burton Construction. Race day registration opens at 7:30 a.m.
RACE STARTS AT 9 AM
The 5K is open to runners and walkers and this yearβs course - only slightly modified from 2024 - is now a fully USATF Certified Course. (VA25010RT)
All race proceeds support our 2025 Impact Fund which helps provide lower-cost memberships and programs for residents in our community.
Registration is $20/person through September 12.
Registration is $25 on race day.
The first 50 registrations include a t-shirt.
Stick around after the race for our 5K finisher recognitions (first three men and first three women), the Tiny Tots race, food vendors, and music.
No Y membership is necessary.
