Alice Lund Textilier was founded in 1936 and in the studio in Borlänge we continue to work based on Alice Lunds vision – focusing on colour, quality and the interplay of the entire interior. We weave textiles by hand for public spaces, churches, as well as private commissions. Throughout the decades contemporary design has formed this company, and, amongst others, the world-renowned textile artist Helena Hernmarck has been an important part of the studios work. Since the 1960s, Alice Lund Textilier has continued on with different owners and artistic leaders, who have all left their mark on the company.
During the tour you will hear about the history of Alice Lund Textilier and be shown a selection of projects as you are guided through the studio and the archives. The viewing takes approx. 50 minutes.

Accessibility: WC available, Ramp and lift available. There is a small threshold to cross and one step down to the archive.

Parking is easiest at the Metropol uteparkering at Sahlstedtsgatan 7, alternatively the Ovanbroparkeringen, which is free for the first hour with a parking disc. From there it is a 300 meter walk to the studio which is in the CTh Ericson building at Vattugatan 3, floor 2.
