Derby Public Schools is once again offering FREE summer meals—and this year, they’re even more convenient for families! Instead of daily pickups, families can now grab one meal kit per child each week.
Each kit includes 5 breakfasts + 5 lunches per child — perfect for keeping kiddos nourished all summer long! 📍 Some items require refrigeration or cooking—please chill or freeze cold foods right after pick-up.
🗓️ Pick-Up Dates & Times
Tuesdays: June 3, 10, 17, 24 and July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
⏰ 9 AM – 1 PM
📍 Pick-Up Location: Central Kitchen, 610 E. Market, Derby
📝 Who’s Eligible? All children ages 1-18 can receive meal kits.
How to Verify Your Family Size and to Streamline Pick-Up: If you feel you might utilize this service over the summer, please complete this interest form prior to the first pick-up date. This is not required to pick up meals, but it helps ensure we have plenty of meal kits prepared. ( https://bit.ly/43hdbCx)
🚘 If you didn't verify before the school year ended, you can still do so when you arrive, with your children present in the vehicle. You will receive a paper with a number for future visits!
⚠️ Special Dietary Needs?
If your child requires meal substitutions due to dietary restrictions, please contact the Food Service Office at (316) 788-8419 or email bWxhd3NvbiB8IHVzZDI2MCAhIGNvbQ== five days in advance. A meal modification form must be on file.
