You might have heard of APRA AMCOS before, but unless you're familiar with the music industry, you might not know who they are or what it is they do....how do they help musicians get paid?
Join MusicNT's Desert Divas in this open and inclusive drop-in session to learn about APRA AMCOS and NATSIMO (the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Music Office).
WHO IS THIS FOR?
This info session is for all songwriters and musicians who are writing lyrics or music or both. If you're performing your music, or just recording it, this is for you.
Sue Ray and Clover Hersant from APRA AMCOS/NATSIMO are in town ahead of Desert Harmony Festival, and they'd love to meet their existing members here in Mparntwe, sign up some new ones, and talk to you about:
-Who they are and what they do
-How they protect copyright & help pay royalties to artists
-How to register your songs & setlists
There will be a short presentation, followed by a group discussion and some time for 1-on-1 questions.
