We are honored to host 48th District Judge Chris Taylor as he shares about his campaign for Texas' 2nd Court of Appeals Place 2 upon the retirement of Justice Dana Womack at the end of her term. The Court serves 12 different counties including:

Taylor began his legal career in Fort Worth, working on complex civil litigation at one of the city's top firms. In 2018 he began serving in the Civil Division of the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office. There, he represented the County in litigation matters and provided legal counsel to the Commissioners Court on high-stakes issues such as strengthening our state's commitment to legal immigration.
In 2021, Governor Greg Abbott appointed Chris to serve as the Presiding Judge of the 48th District Court-one of the oldest and most respected courts in Tarrant County. Since then, Chris has twice earned the trust of voters, winning election and reΒ election. For nearly four years, he has presided over civil cases with a steady hand, run an efficient courtroom, and upheld the law with clarity and conviction.
"With a father serving in the U.S. Army, I learned the value of hard work, patriotism, and public service at a young age. My respect and commitment to the Constitution runs deep. I have seen judges try to rewrite it from the bench. I'm not that kind of judge. As Justice for the 2nd Court of Appeals, I will uphold the law with clarity and conviction as I always have," said Taylor.
Outside the courtroom, Chris is a devoted husband, father, and man of faith. He and his wife attend St. Mary the Virgin Catholic Church in Arlington, where Chris serves as an usher and a member of the armed guardian team. Chris and his family live in Tarrant County.
