Come, join us for a Root Beer Float and have a fun evening listening to The Jumping Jehosafats, a Gospel, Jazz, & Dixieland Band at UMCGR. The concert is free; there will be a free-will offering to support the mission that JJ is currently supporting.
The Jumping Jehosafats have been blending traditional jazz and Gospel for more than thirty-five years, raising money for charity and lifting spirits. The men and women of this group play several instruments - including piano, guitar, drums and horns - as well as sing together. They have played community concerts, prisons, riverboats, churches, state fairs and homeless shelters in the Upper Midwest, and also toured Haiti and Jamaica. They have been featured artists with the Twin Cities Jazz Society Concert Series and played for numerous local, regional, and national events. They play both traditional tunes and original songs written by its members.
