Come out and support Detroit Chitlin Circuit Golf Group along with Fairways and Sticks in out 3rd Annual Scholarship Fundraiser.
Detroit Chitlin Circuit Golf Group along with Fairways and Sticks will have their annual golf outing on Aug 31st 2025 at Idyl Wyld Golf course in Livonia.
We will be raising money again for 3 Rising 2026 Seniors out of the Metro Detroit Area. These 3 recipients will be receiving our new scholarships in honor of Dr. Dennis Marvel Rogers who was a member of the Detroit Chitlin Circuit Golf Group, but most importantly a pillar to the City of Detroit and its Community, Dr. Rogers was a local Denist in the City of Detroit. His business was located on the westside of Detroit on 7 Mile Rd and Evergreen area.
Dr Rogers in his spare time loved to play the game of golf but even more loved to coach the youth in basketball. He was a State Champion Head Coach for the girls Varsity Basketball team at Benedictine H. S. He also Coached Elite AAU Basketball Girls and Boys Programs around the city throughout his lifetime. He sat on numerous boards and was a member of so many groups devoting his time to help who and when he could.
He was strong on his faith and a God fearing man. His family meant everything to him immediate and extended. He was truly a open door possible man and would do everything he could to be their if you needed him. His Legacy will forever live on through so many including the fellas! We take great pride in honoring his Legacy with these Scholarship.
