Beyond: Expectant Worship

How do you imagine worship in the kingdom/kin-dom of God? This week, we encounter an early Christian sermon from the "letter" of Hebrews. Like much of the New Testament, it is a message of encouragement in spite of present circumstances. Written to a persecuted Jewish-Christian congregation, it is wondering (and wavering) on whether to hold fast on the promised return of Christ, or to turn back to customs and practices of the past. Does our worship reveal our expectation, or our hindsight?
