“Mural of Beloit’s History” Open Viewing, Fri., Sept. 5, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Beloit City Hall, 100 State St., 1st floor. Marvel at Wisconsin’s largest landscape painting (6×92′) completed in 1985 by renowned artist Martha Hayden. Many of the panels are now located in the conference room and not generally available for viewing.

“Open Doors Beloit” is the theme for 2025 Beloit Heritage Days. We invite residents and visitors to explore the Stateline’s most iconic landmarks, historic sites, and hidden gems through a weekend full of events that celebrates the rich tapestry of our community’s past and vibrant culture of today.

Participants will enjoy free access to architectural treasures, cultural institutions, and exclusive behind-the-scenes tours as community organizations, churches, businesses, schools, and cultural institutions “Open Their Doors” and welcome you in!

The Open Doors Beloit Passport will guide you on your history-hunting trek throughout Beloit as you explore 12 free events & historic sites over the three day celebration.
