Beginners Handstand Workshop with Manuelle Debunne - £35

Join us for a fun upside-down time, and start your journey toward a stable handstand. The workshop will begin with an easy yoga sequence, including strengthening exercises for the shoulders and core. Then we will dive into the fundamental elements of a straight handstand, looking at how to open the shoulders, while maintaining a straight line and breathing correctly. With the help of the wall and props, you will learn proper technique and build strength, while keeping your body safe.

What to Expect:
During this workshop we will learn how to kick up to and fall out from a handstand, and work on alignment and strength. We will look at how to incorporate these drills into your regular mysore practice, as well as how to use props to help you progress. In addition, we will explore different entries to handstand and briefly touch on techniques of pressing to handstand so that you can continue to grow your practice.

This workshop is designed to be a fun 2hrs, which may take you a little out of your comfort zone, but always with care. The workshop is ideal for beginners to improvers who are looking enhance their understanding of the foundational elements of the handstand, learn to kick up, improve alignment, and increase strength and flexibility.
