Live Music: Audrey Ryan & Lunch Mother

Lunch Mother is the house band for The Loft, a DIY music space in Somerville, MA, run by Audrey Ryan, which also features Karina DaCosta, Justin Francos, and Ben Smith. Audrey Ryan is an indie singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her innovative performances and genre-blending style. Based in Boston and hailing from Maine (grew up on MDI and in Ellsworth!), she combines elements of folk, rock, and experimental pop, often using looping pedals and a variety of instruments including guitar, accordion, and vibraphone. Her new record, WTF, explores themes of identity and the balance between motherhood and the rest of life. Ryan has released multiple albums, toured internationally, and is also a published writer. Her music and writing reflect a fiercely independent spirit and a commitment to creative authenticity.
