Welcome August Guest Artist Philip Ramsey

Philip Ramsey graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Masters of Science in Horticulture in 1983 having never taken an art class. He has a well-cultivated gift and motivation to paint and has held the occupation of professional artist since 1991. With the help of faith and family Phil has developed a representational but also impressionistic style. Starting out as a muralist in Virginia and North Carolina, he shifted to fine art oil painting and portraiture when he felt too old to hang off ladders.
