-Increase soil organic matter and boost soil fertility
-Stabilize soil and reduce erosion
-Suppress cool-season weeds
-Improve drainage in compacted or heavy soils
-Improve tilth and seedbed quality in spring
We will also talk about which crops can be planted now to harvest into winter, and what soil amendments can be added to garden beds so that they are ready to rock come spring!
Finally, you will also learn some simple methods for indoor cultivation of fast growing crops to help keep fresh food in your kitchen during even the coldest months. We will touch on
-Indoor growing environment setup
-Grow lights, water, soil and fertilizer
-Hydroponics, soil, and soilless mixes
