FREE Sunset Tour – Creating a Park on a Battlefield

Join us on a SUNSET TOUR – a free & family-friendly program discussing historic places and events related to the Petersburg Campaign of the Civil War. Petersburg National Battlefield and Petersburg Battlefields Foundation are partnering for a fourth year to offer these tours once a month between May and August.
Creating a Park on a Battlefield
August 16, 6:00 to 7:30 pm
Eastern Front Visitor Center parking lot, 5001 Siege Road, Petersburg, 23803
Join us to explore the transformative historical eras and the people who have shaped this land into a park, from the time before and during the Civil War to the present and into the future. This will involve a caravan driving tour through the Eastern Front.
All programs are free and open to the public. Programs are 60-90 minutes and require a small amount of walking. Drinking water and comfortable shoes are recommended. All programs are subject to change. Changes or cancellations will be announced on Petersburg National Battlefield’s website Facebook page (@PetersburgNPS).
