Casting Note – Little Shop of Horrors

Our production is deeply committed to honoring the cultural roots and original spirit of Little Shop of Horrors. The roles of the Urchins (Crystal, Ronette, and Chiffon) and the voice of Audrey II (the plant) are grounded in the sound, style, and storytelling traditions of Motown, soul, and R&B.

As such, these roles will be cast with Black performers.

We are actively encouraging Black singers, actors, and performers to audition for these iconic parts. Your voices and artistry are essential to this show’s heart and identity.

All other roles are open to performers of all backgrounds. We are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and joyful space for everyone involved in this production.
