On August 7th, we invite you to join a group of passionate Americans gathering together to place 2,977 flags, each one in honor of a person who lost their life on 9.11.
The powerful installation will be placed at the gateway of Somerset, right off exit 110. These flags will usher in visitors and welcome home residents, setting the solemn and patriotic tone of this season in the Somerset community. Our hope is that by placing these flags people will take time to reflect on the tragedy of that day and the unity of our nation that followed.
If you feel compelled, we invite you to join us in placing these flags. We will meet in the lot behind the Comfort Inn starting at 4pm, all are welcome, and we’ll expect to be there until about 6pm. If you can join us for even a half hour in that time to respectfully place a few flags, please join us!
We also would like to thank the @servpro of Somerset & Westmont for offering their service in the storage and preparation of the flags.
