Happy Hour Mangrove Seed Bomb Workshop
This "happy hour" has Wildbluesea koozies available that contain either a beer from Tequesta Brewing or sparkling water for any donation of $7 or more OR Wildbluesea "Go with the Slow" etched wine glasses with chilled Pinot Grigio for a donation of $15 or more. You are also welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic beverage as an option.
BE PART OF THE MANGROVE PROJECT! Join a small group of your neighbors as we prepare mangrove propagules from the Mangrove Project for their next stage of growth. Rescued seedlings that were displayed on 20 business partner windows this winter season now have roots and shoots. You will be helping to bundle them in burlap sacks with substrate added to be acclimatized to saltwater before being planted in the JILONA shoreline restoration by Cato's Bridge while enjoying a special sunset hilltop view from the BLM plant nursery by the Lighthouse.
DETAILS: We will be standing at potting tables, cutting burlap and wrapping propagules for approximately 45 minutes. Dress for the weather and prepare for possibility of mosquitoes. Gardening gloves optional.
ARRIVAL: You will be entering at the back gate of Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area off the small parking lot on the south side of Beach Road. Please arrive promptly. The gate w!ill be open from 6:25-6:40 pm
