Join us on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, for our next Historical Society meeting featuring special guest speaker Michael Rose, a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

Michael is an accomplished artist who works in a variety of traditional forms to recreate and preserve historic Native American artwork. He spent part of his early years attending White Settlement Elementary School and later built a career as a machinist. Michael also helps organize the Annual Powwow at the Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum and is deeply involved in cultural preservation.

His talk, titled β€œThe CHahta Experience,” will explore the history, heritage, and continued legacy of the Choctaw people.

✨ Michael will also be bringing samples of his artwork and other artifacts to share with attendees!

This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand stories and insights, and to see meaningful cultural art up close.
All are welcome!
