Janmashtami (Lord Krishna Commemorative Service)

The Sacramento Meditation Center will celebrate Janmashtami on Saturday August 16th at 7:00 pm. We joyously celebrate the Avatar who is part of our lineage and is the God of protection, compassion, tenderness, and love. Sri Krishna holds a special place in the hearts of many devotees in India and around the world as Yogeshvara, “Lord of Yoga,” and for his sublime and timeless counsel in the Bhagavad Gita.

We will have a Meditation Service at
7 PM, followed by the Commemorative Service with Kirtan at 8 PM. The Kirtan will feature a number of traditional Krishna chants and bajans. Please bring the traditional offerings of a favorite flower and a donation in an envelope as symbols of your devotion and loyalty. Everyone is welcome.
