Butterfly release

We have been carefully looking after some wonderful caterpillars at Little Battle and due to the heat they have developed at an alarming rate and will be ready to release into nature on Saturday.
We thought it would be quite irresponsible to release them in the car park behind the cafe where there is limited food for them so we got in touch with the Battle Town Council would suggested the beautiful Almonry Gardens as a perfect setting for our butterflies.
With their abundance of flowers and safe space for children, it's the ideal place for us all to witness the safe release of these beautiful creatures.
They often land on hands when they first start to explore so it's a wonderful experience for all ages to be a part of.
This event is free to all and the meeting point is The Almonry Gardens, next to the Battle museum on Battle High Street.
Closest parking is in Upper Market or Mount Street car park.
After the release there will be a butterfly related activity and fun fact sheet available from Little Battle, 58 High Street.
Why not pop in afterwards for a late lunch, early tea or an ice cream.
See you there!
