FAQ:
Do I need a time trial (TT) bike and helmet?
No, you do not need a TT bike to race a TT.

The race is split into two categories:

The first category is the "Time Trial Bike Category". This category is for specialist time trial (TT) bikes, which feature specialist aero adaptations including aero TT handlebars and disc rear wheels.

Normal road bikes can be retrofitted with "clip-on" aero handlebars, which means that they are reclassed as TT bikes and will compete in the TT category.

The second category is the "Road Bike Category" which is for ordinary road bikes.

At the end of the race, all times for both categories are listed from fastest to slowest
These times are then further split into two separate lists, for the Time Trial Bike Category and Road Bike Category.
