Join us at the historic Brook Arts Center in Bound Brook, NJ to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera, one of the greatest horror films of all time!
Experience the original silent film classic as audiences did a century ago with live organ accompaniment by award-winning organist Ian Fraser ( https://ianfraserorganist.com).
In 1925, The Phantom of the Opera shocked audiences with the terrifying makeup of βthe man of a thousand faces,β Lon Chaney, who portrayed the tortured Phantom. Living deep below the Paris Opera House, the Phantom stalks a young opera singer, Christine (Mary Philbin), and terrorizes both audiences and cast in an attempt to win her affection.
Enjoy this screening featuring a live score performed on the Garden State Theatre Organ Society's restored 1920s Wurlitzer Theatre Organ. Hear over 750 real organ pipes built right into the walls of the theatre filling the space with music just like it was 1925 all over again!
