Minds in Motion: Pet Plant Power Up

Discover the technological side of agriculture!

Instructors from the University of Calgary's Minds in Motion program will teach participants about how technology and agriculture intersect in this multi-stage activity! Start by exploring the basic necessities of your new plant pet, then create and program a soil sensor so your plant can communicate how dry it is. Participants will get hands-on experience with block coding and explore a technology that helps real-world farmers keep their crops healthy.

This program is recommended for children aged 7-11, and who have an interest in agriculture and/or coding.

Registration is required for this free program. Give us a call at 403-887-2130 or register online: https://parklandab.wufoo.com/forms/z2e97oo1jl9a70/

Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item donation for the Little Free Pantry.
