Join us at Gather Bakery (315 W State Street in Geneva) this coming Sunday, July 27 as we raise money for local nonprofit Cal's Angels!
July 27 is my Mom's birthday. When she passed away four years ago, it became just another extra hard day. We decided to start using the date for something good...something to do in her memory, since we can't celebrate with her here anymore. In past years, we've raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Fox Valley Hands of Hope. This year we're baking to benefit Cal's Angels.
My mom fought Lymphoma twice, and I know she couldn't imagine kids going through what she went through. Cal's Angels is a local nonprofit based in Saint Charles that grants wishes, raises awareness, and funds research to help kids fighting cancer. On July 27, we will donate 20% of our sales directly to Cal's Angels. All you need to do is buy some yummy baked goods or grab a cup of coffee!
In addition to that, we will be doing a "Cookie Decorating Drive" � Stop by on July 27 and grab a cookie decorating kit or a "paint-your-own cookie" for yourself, or sponsor one directly for Cal's Angels. For every kit purchased (whether it's for yourself, or purchased as a donation), we will match it and donate one to Cal's Angels. Let's work together to get a bunch of fun cookie decorating kits for some families that could use some extra smiles.
