STATIC

STATIC is a musical drama that follows Matthew Riley, a musician using songwriting to make sense of the death of his father, James Riley. As he unravels the past, he confronts the pain of James’ abandonment and the lasting wounds it left behind. Spanning 40 years, the story weaves through their fractured relationship, from childhood to James’ final days under the shadow of dementia. Through music and memory, Matthew searches for closure, exploring themes of love, loss, and self-discovery.

Daniel Amedee and Conor Kelly O’Brien began work on STATIC in 2017 and have slowly but steadily developed and refined the musical into a full 90-minute production.
