Take your diving deeper—safely. The NAUI Cavern Diver Course at Depth Finder’s Scuba introduces experienced divers to the world of overhead environments in a controlled, structured way. You’ll learn the skills, mindset, and techniques needed to explore Florida’s most stunning freshwater caverns—while staying within the daylight zone.
What You’ll Learn
- Proper gear setup and gas planning for overhead diving
- Reel use, guideline procedures, and lost line drills
- Light protocols and emergency planning
- Buoyancy, trim, and anti-silt techniques
- Stress management and team-based procedures
Course Details
- Max Depth: 100 feet
- Environment: Cavern zone only (within natural daylight)
- No Restrictions: No squeezes, no complex cave penetration
- Sites: Popular sites include Ginnie Springs, Buford, Peacock, and Little River!
Who Can Join?
- Minimum age: 18
- Certification: NAUI Advanced Open Water (or equivalent)
- Nitrox is recommended
