Join us on the last Wednesday of every month for Words on Wednesday, a new reading series at Gallery 40 that celebrates the diverse voices of Hudson Valley authors. Each month, an author will share insights into their writing process, read selections from their work, and engage in an hour-long discussion about the craft of storytelling. It’s an intimate and engaging way to connect with local writers and their stories.

This month we are thrilled to have Jennifer Sadera with us.

Jennifer Sadera, a novelist that has always had a special connection with the written word, as a copywriter at book publisher NAL, a magazine editor at REDBOOK and WOMAN'S WORLD, and a freelance writer and blogger.

Her writing has earned her multiple awards at the Atlanta Writers Conferences, and a fellowship at the Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing. Jennifer was just chosen by Chronogram Magazine readers as one of the top five authors in New York State's Hudson Valley where she calls home. She is a member of International Thriller Writers, Mystery Writers of America, and Sisters in Crime.

Her suspense novel, I KNOW SHE WAS THERE, won the 2025 gold medal IPPY Award in the Best Suspense/Thriller category. Her novel won also the Judges’ Top Pick at the annual Killer Nashville Writers’ international Conference competition.
