Join us at Galway City Library for an Art Exhibition launch and wine reception. All are welcome!
Artist Freya Pannett has been based in Galway for the past seven years. She has experimented with many crafts but textiles and sculpting/ceramics have been the main focus for many years. Silk, glass beads, semi precious stones and velvet are her preferred materials, often with repurposed scrap material from garments or furnishings. Animals and nature are her primary source of inspiration, whether that is a faithful representation of a garden bird or a stylised colourful bat.
Freya studied photography, but is primarily self taught in hand sewing, and enjoys visible stitches and building texture with beading. She is a member of Forge Clay Studios and is a vendor on Galway St. Nicholas market.
