Closing the Bones Group Ceremony

Our Closing the Bones group ceremony is an intimate gathering for just four mothers, based on a traditional Mexican ritual to bring the mother back into her body, and energise and nurture her after her birth experience.

This soothing and powerful ceremony symbolically closes the many pathways that were opened during the birth process, returning heat and strength to the body, with support to release what no longer serves, and embrace moving forward.

This is a simple and profound acknowledgement of the rite of passage from maiden to mother (or mother to mother of two or more or of an angel baby) – one that has been lost in the western world today.

Often in birth, women report feeling as though they left their body energetically, and this ritual calls her back in. Using a combination of herbal steam, body binding with the rebozo and soothing touch, we close those pathways.

I am honoured to offer this experience in collaboration with Jaye Seal.

This group ceremony is perfect for:
-Any new mother or long-time mother
-Mothers with birth trauma
-Mothers with positive births
-Mothers ready to bring closure to their childbearing years
-Mothers wanting to acknowledge and celebrate the power of their bodies and birthing journeys
