a musical comedy retelling of "The Princess and the Pea," where a domineering Queen Aggravain has decreed that no one in the kingdom can marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, finds a suitable princess. The story follows the arrival of Princess Winnifred, who challenges the Queen's control and tests her ability to pass the Queen's elaborate and seemingly impossible tests.
