Join us this Sunday for an exciting international hike at the Dreiländereck – the point where Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands meet! 🌲🌄 We'll walk through lush forests, cross borders on foot, and enjoy some well-deserved Belgian beer 🍺 and pommes 🍟 right at the summit!
🚆Train schedule:
Dep: 08:23 Duisburg Hbf, Platform 3 platform RE 1 (26808)
Arr: 10:07 Aachen Hbf, Platform 2 platform
Dep: 10:22 Hauptbahnhof (Bus), Aachen Bus 11
Arr: 10:31 Waldfriedhof, Aachen
We’ll meet at 08:15 in Duisburg Hbf, but feel free to join at another stop that’s convenient for you.
🥾 Hike Details:
• Distance: 18.4 km
• Elevation gain: ⬆️ 332 m / ⬇️ 368 m
• Duration: approx. 5:07 h (via Komoot)
• Difficulty: Difficult – but doable with a good mood and steady pace!
We’ll pass through beautiful trails, reach the famous three-country point, and have the option to grab some Belgian snacks and drinks before heading back.
Estimated return to Duisburg Hbf: Around 18:30 (some uncertainty depending on pace and breaks)
