How to Prevent & Respond to Dog Bites

We're doing the next bite prevention talk earlier in the evening to accommodate postal workers!

Dog bites are on the rise! And most bites are foreseeable and preventable. Children, especially boys, are at particular risk for dog bites.

This hour-long talk, with time at the end for questions, is aimed at increasing awareness about dog bites - how and why they occur, the different levels of severity and what makes a dog "dangerous," how to prevent dog bites, and what to do in case you're bitten.

Speaker, Cindy Ludwig is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers) and Registered Nurse. She is a former Certified Critical Care Nurse and licensed paramedic.

Cindy has been training dogs professionally for nearly 20 years. She works with a wide range of dogs with various behaviors, including aggression. She was recently voted Best Springfield, Missouri Dog Trainer.

This event, sponsored by Mercy Hospital, is entirely free! But we are requesting pre-registration due to limited seating. Children are encouraged to attend with their parents, guardian, or other responsible adult.
