Music in the Parks: Amateur

Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music.

This week at Bryant Square Park we are hosting Amateur. AMATEUR is an indie rock band from Rochester, MN, formed in 2016 by high school classmates Chris Tauzell (Vocals/Guitar), Brody Heinzel (Guitar), and Jake Steele (Bass) in 2016. The band’s lineup is filled in by Alex Ortberg (Drums), Elijah Gray (Keyboard), Amanda Jay Fuller (Vocals), John Sievers (Trombone), and Jacob Burkhart (Trumpet). Drawing Influences from bands like The Strokes, The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Bahamas, and Dawes, while including elements of funk, pop and soul.
