NGUVU Live at the Carlton Club

NGUVU make their return to the Carlton Club this summer and they bring the funk and the Northern Sauce with them.
This is a definite can't miss show if you love your music with a bit of soul and a lot of groove.
WHO ARE WE?
NGUVU: a Swahili term that means Power, Force and Energy. This is also the perfect name for this Northern Groove-heavy Jazz Fusion, Funk, Soul, and Hip-Hop group.
Not your typical Manchester band, NGUVU is a genre-blurring collective that defies conventional norms. Birthed straight out of the mind of visionary drummer, composer, and MC, Jamal Lewis-Service aka 1-Liner, who not only provides the bars but the backbeat, NGUVU is a force that was once a hidden gem in the contemporary music scene.
Built upon a combination of Jazz Fusion, Funk, Soul, New Jack Swing and Hip-Hop, with a teaspoon of Metal, Punk and Rock, NGUVU’s style has small shades of Screaming Headless Torsos, Living Colour, The Roots, Nubiyan Twist, Funky Knuckles, Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai, and Morris Day and The Time, yet it still maintains a sound and Identity that is uniquely theirs.
