Bells Across PA Unveiling

Time: 10 am, followed by tours until 4 pm
Join us for a special celebration at the Speaker’s House as we unveil a Liberty Bell designed and painted by local artist Lisa Short. Her artwork pays tribute to Pennsylvania’s rich German heritage and the folk art tradition of fraktur.
This public art project is part of the statewide Bells Across PA initiative, organized by America250PA to celebrate the U.S. Semiquincentennial. The bell was generously funded by the Borough of Trappe and the Daughters of the American Revolution--Valley Forge Chapter.
Enjoy free guided tours of the Speaker’s House—home of Frederick Muhlenberg, first Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives—throughout the day from 10 am to 4 pm.
