8th National Research and Development Conference

Research and Development (R&D) to build better lives for every Filipino is the focus of the Department of Science and Technology’s upcoming 8th National R&D Conference. The event will be held from July 23 to 24, 2025 at the Fiesta Pavillion of the Manila Hotel.

Themed “R&D Building Better Lives: Leveraging Transdisciplinary R&D for Well-Being, Wealth Creation, Wealth Protection, and Sustainability”, this event is in compliance with Section 19 of Article IX of Republic Act 10055, otherwise known as the Philippine Technology Transfer Act of 2009, mandating the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to conduct an annual national conference of all government funding agencies (GFAs) and research and development institutes (RDIs) to: 1) promote transdisciplinary, joint and cross collaborative R&D; 2) coordinate and rationalize the R&D agenda; and 3) harmonize all R&D agenda and priorities.
