Unleash your creativity in this hands-on beginner’s course in silversmithing. Learn to safely use a hand torch and Dremel as you master core techniques like paillon placement, sweat and pick soldering, precise sawing, shearing, filing, hammering, texturing, bezel stone setting, and polishing. Each student will receive a beautiful stone to work with and leave the class proudly wearing—or gifting—a one-of-a-kind sterling silver ring or pendant.
Note: Final pieces may vary depending on individual design choices and selected stones.
After retiring as an interior designer in 2006, Morning Sherrod discovered a new artistic path through silversmithing. Trained at the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, she has since immersed herself in metal arts—studying silver, gold, mixed metals, metal clay (Level 3 certified), bead making, wire wrapping, and more. Morning hand-cuts and polishes semi-precious stones to create one-of-a-kind, collectible adornments. With over 16 years of experience, she remains deeply passionate about her craft and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others.
