LRS Electronic Waste Recycling, Bulk Item Disposal and Secure Document Destruction Event

If you live within Elgin city limits, you're invited to a community recycling and disposal event hosted by the City of Elgin and LRS, even if you do not have LRS service. This event offers a cost-effective way to clear out unwanted items, with no stickers required and the ability to drop off in bulk loads. Residents can recycle electronic waste, dispose of household bulk items and securely shred personal documents on site.

Time: 8 a.m. to Noon
Location: City of Elgin Public Works, 1900 Holmes Road
Cost: $20 per vehicle, cash only. Please bring exact change. No change will be provided.
Eligibility: Open to Elgin residents who live within city limits.
