Deepening Connections: Autumn Herbal Medicine and Magic

As autumn shows us its fiery red and gold colors, join master herbalist and teacher Gigi Stafne to meet the local medicinal plants of autumn and learn about their healing ways. This class expands on last year’s seasonal herbalism classes to focus on tree medicines, roots, barks, and berries.
Autumn offers an abundance of plant medicines that can help us thrive through winter, and invite us to connect more deeply with the colder seasons. Gigi will weave plant wisdom together with ways to center ourselves and reconnect with our true wild natures, and explore the connections between herbal medicine, collective healing, and grassroots environmental conservation. Weather permitting, the class will pick up the medicine trail at the farm and meander field and forest to find out which wild-growing medicinal plants call WEI home.
In the afternoon, students will deepen their plant wisdom in personal, meaningful, and seasonal ways. Gigi will guide you in hand-crafting a Deeply Rooted Detox Tonic to take home to nourish family and community. This is a special opportunity to connect with the quieting and balancing energies of autumn and explore the medicines of the season. We encourage participants to also register for Gigi’s Spring Herbal Medicine and Magic class.
