More about Emily: Emily Hamel is an international 5* eventer who has completed Kentucky (3x), Maryland (3x), Badminton, Burghley, and Luhmuhlen with her horse, Corvett, affectionately known as Barry. She reached this 5* goal through hard work, dedication, and the help of some amazing horses and horsemen. Being Phillip Dutton’s head rider for over 4 years and getting to train alongside him daily was incredibly influential. Additionally, spending extended periods in the UK and Europe training and competing with some of the world's best riders was crucial to her development.
In April 2023, Emily and her partner, David Repko, bought a farm in Aiken, SC. They named it Good Fortunes Farm as a nod to the serendipity that led them there and the hope of more good things to come. She now runs a training program focusing on developing her own and sales horses, teaching dedicated students, and giving clinics nationwide. Emily truly loves to teach and pass on what she has learned through her experiences. Whether at home or in her clinics, she provides each student with the attention they need to succeed. Her patience, clarity, and understanding of what it takes to ride a horse well encourage each horse and rider to find their true potential.
