βAn intoxicating blend of hard-hitting sounds from around the globe.β Thatβs how Quentin describes "The Lounge Conjecture". Q has been hard at work in his home studio and flirting with music production for some years, he has decided to take the plunge and start fleshing out his ideas from loops and sketches into fully-arranged tunes.
Before starting his production efforts, Quentin found himself increasingly drawn to sample-based electronic music, particularly from artists that debuted during the 90s such as United Future Organization, Fila Brazillia and Ian Pooley to name a few. He picked up DJing; spinning mostly house music in its many styles. At the same time, he also became fascinated with genres like Bossa Nova, Dub and Afro-Cuban Jazz, which were quickly becoming his go-to sections at record stores.
With such a wide range of influences and fueled by his 90s heroes, Quentin had plenty of inspiration to draw from, and The Lounge Conjecture was born - focusing on studio production and DJing.
