Across the country and the world, tensions are escalating. What can you do in a moment of crisis, at a local demonstration, or in an ordinary conversation, to lower the volume, remain calm, and create peace?
This four-session series in nonviolence trainings will be practical, grounded material, steeped in the teachings of King and Gandhi. You will have the opportunity to practice in role-plays, ask your important questions, and emerge with greater ability to defuse violence in yourself, your circles, and the world around you.
This course will be taught by Sister Anne McCarthy, Coordinator of Benedictines for Peace and Pax Christi USA Ambassador of Peace.
There is no charge, but we welcome donations.
–
(July 7 was Nonviolence introduction)
July 21—Nonviolence and de-escalation strategies
August 4—Nonviolence and demonstrations
August 18—Nonviolence and protecting others
