The Story of the Bideford Witches

Were witches real? That’s a matter of belief but I’ll tell you about three women from Bideford who were accused, tryed and executed as witches in 1682. Their names were Temperance Lloyd, Susanna Edwards and Mary Trembles.
In the talk you’ll find out what they did to earn their legacy and learn about how suspected witches were punished for their crimes, with a history on English witchcraft thrown in!

The event will be held in Mortehoe Village Hall, car parking is available at the hall (free), and in the main village carpark (charges apply).

Refreshments will be available. All money raised goes to support the work of the Museum.

Tickets are £5 available to buy online (with booking fee) or cash on the day.
